Is the difference between a few mid-range preamps noticeable?

Listen to the test. The preamps used are:

• D.A.V. Electronics Broadhurst Gardens No. 2 (DAV BG)
• Built-in preamps of the RME Fireface 800
• Yamaha HA8 (old but decent)
• Built-in preamps of the Zoom F8n
• DBX 386

You can also try to hear the difference between the A/D converters of the DBX 386, the Apogee Rosetta 800, and the RME Fireface 800.

The pianist played the same piece several times. No cuts were made.
